Coverage and method
World totals are separate from country partners. Regional aggregates and unallocated partners are excluded from the map, so partner values need not sum to the World total. Imports and exports are kept separate; annual totals may differ from monthly sums. Missing observations are not estimated.
The arrow illustrates reporting direction, not a shipping route. Extra-EU import partners generally identify origin; intra-EU arrivals identify dispatch. Export partners identify destination. These are EU-reported flows, not the partner’s own customs declarations.
